This is my environmental design 4 studio project.
Again, for this term, we are designing exhibition spaces.

Synectics is a traveling experience that heightens the connection between the unorthodox, yet truthful sound of the genre-inventing band, Linkin Park and its passionate fan base.

The journey starts with the very first noise being made. The band break free of the expectations and existing barriers to explore and create the uniquely distinctive sound that composes a brand new experience. With the messages from their impactive lyrics and music videos, and the astonishing visual effect at the live performances. Even though every change and new stuff sounds so different, you know that sound is Linkin Park.

Eudermine Hotel Midterm Presentation

The site for the project is in LA, walking distance to all the LA entertainment including LA Live and Staple Center.
The footprint of the building is 100 ft by 157 ft. We use 3500 sq ft of the first floor for the public spaces, such as lobby, dining area.

The environmental design studio project I'm working on right now is a boutique hotel project.

This is my process up to date. And midterm presentation is close, so I'll post new stuff related to this project after the midterm.

Underwater

My internet is acting weird these few weeks... so I have to upload when I'm in school.


This is a project for Illumination class.
We have a budget of $20 to create a lighting metaphor. Our topic is underwater.

Glowride Lighting Signal Jacket

This is my illumination class project for reinvent the switch..

So basically the rider lower their wrist (like turning-the-handle motion), and the signal light on the back will light up. This jacket uses tilt switch to complete the circuit.

This is a small video shows that the jacket is working......haha

Finally.. Hotel project.
This is the site, it is an unused warehouse near the Staple Center.

Student Lounge

This is what I am working on right now for my environmental design class, a lounge space for students in the main building of ACCD.


And this is an exercise before the main project. In this exercise, we have to create the lounge base on a personal/design value. the value I choose is "privet within public," which people can be social and interactive, but have the feeling of privacy.

Sole. Simple shoe, crazy canvas.

OK. Sole is a brand new shoe retail experience, which the customers can experience different materials and use them to make their own customized shoes. in Sole, everyone will become a designer.
